Well, I go for my root canal tomorrow...my numbers were good enough to go! I didn't realize that when you have a 'port' and you need any dental work, you need an antibiotic....very interesting! Anyway, my platelet numbers went up 10 points...which is very good! but still on the low side. I had to get the shot (I can't remember the name) to get my white blood cells up...I got the shot at 12:30 and they said it would kick in about 3:30...so, I should take Tylenol...I did...I took it at 2 pm and it's 11 pm and I feel fine...no flu like symptoms....hope it stays that way. I just feel sleepy - not tired...just want to close my eyes.
So, Wednesday will be cocktail #8...then next week I go for the CT scan.
My appointment today for the blood work was at 11:30...there were so many people in the waiting room that I waited in the lobby. There were alot of 'new' people waiting to talk to the doctors....scary...all these people have some type of cancer....I just needed blood work drawn so they took me before the others...which was still an hour wait time.
