Well, number 12 chemo took a bit longer than expected! Got to the center at 10:45 and by the time I got to my suite they had to run blood work again...my white blood count was down from 10 to 2 !!! They weren't sure if I was going to get the #12 - but I did.
They had to stop the first med...I began to itch on my hand and got a little red by the port where they had the band aid...so we waited a while then began the meds again....everything was fine...
My one med was lowered due to the numbness in my fingers and this morning while applying my face (make up) I noticed a tingling from my shins to the top of my feet....uh oh....but they would have lowered the dose with either symptoms.
Now, with my white blood count (wbc) being so low I have to get the 'shot'...I go on Friday to have the pump flushed and removed...then I go back for 'the shot' on Sat., Mon., Tues., and possibly Wed. after my CT scan (it's in the same building).
So, for a person that HATES to leave the house....I'll be in my car all week!!!! I just hope I'll be able to drive with the top down!
I found a new road to take going to Sparta...need a little change in scenery! Takes the same amount of time but at least it looks different. There is another way I'm going to try...maybe shorter but looking at the map....it may take a few minutes longer....
We got home at 5 pm...Samantha made dinner - Eggplant Lasagna...never had it before...she is doing such a great job with cooking....now, does she take after me? or the Marra's (I know they like to cook...but mine always tastes better!!!! okay Marra family - don't laugh!!! - I know I'm not the greatest of cooks..but I couldn't resist!). We all need a laugh now and then!!!
Paul is doing Project Graduation with the company that has the bounce houses and everything else imaginable...he's down in Cherry Hill tonight, then he has tomorrow (Thurs.) and Friday...not sure where they are...then he'll be doing it again next week....and then maybe on the following week but all schools will be done by the 30th.
