Had cocktail #11 today...feeling fine...a bit tired but okay...the only symptom that I am experiencing today is when I eat or drink something cold...funny mouth sensation - not like I had before when the back of my cheeks felt like they were exploding...just a weird sensation.
I have been wearing these compression stockings on my cocktail day...they seem to work..I was getting some charlie horses in my calves - especially when I went up and down the steps. The only problem with these are that they keep me very warm...not too good when the temperature is hot outside!
I ran into my neighbor that has colon cancer too...she was done about 3 months ago and just went for a virtual colonoscopy...she didn't get good results...they found some cancer...she went back to the oncologist but didn't get an answer as to what she will do now...chemo again? or maybe surgery to remove it...it's higher up in her colon. The only place her cancer was - was in her colon - where she had the 'sigmoid colon surgery' - as I did...but again, now it's much higher....she too, just had to go to the dentist...one of her bottom teeth broke off so she needed it pulled...she didn't have time to get the 'flipper' because the tooth broke before hand..so she is embarrassed because she has no tooth - but at least its on the bottom...I told her that mine will be on the top! but I do have my flipper ready to go!!
Well, that's my story for the day! Thanks again for all your prayers and positive thoughts.....this is what is getting me through this. Sometimes I feel so bad or depressed...but then I feel God's hand on my shoulder making me feel that I'm going to get through this little 'detour in life'.
