One of my friends is having a difficult time right now and I just emailed her this following prayer...It's a Novena to St. Anthony. I thought that you prayed to him to 'find things that you misplaced'...always found them after praying too...but now I realize that he is also the Saint of Miracles.
Here is the prayer...
NOVENA PRAYER TO ST. ANTHONY OF PADUA
Oh Holy St. Anthony, gentlest of Saints, your love for God and Charity of His creatures, made you worthy, when on earth, to possess miraculous powers. Miracles waited on your word, which you were ever ready to speak for those in trouble or anxiety. Encouraged by this thought, I implore you to obtain for me (request). The answer to my prayer may require a miracle; even so you are the Saint of Miracles. O gentle and loving St. Anthony, whose heart was ever full of human sympathy, whisper my petition into the ears of the Sweet Infant Jesus, who loved to be folded in your arms, and the gratitude of my heart will be yours. Amen.
Our Father, Hail Mary and Glory be.
You can never go wrong with prayer....
Went for cocktail #18 today....Charlie didn't come with me today...I went alone, which wasn't bad at all...the nurses and doctor DID miss him...he always has so many stories for them! Me, I always have questions for them!!!
I had blood drawn yesterday and I always ask for a copy. The following info is usually done right after the CT scan but for some reason the nurse checked the box to get the following info...
This is for the CEA....something to do with cancer in the blood (I think)....
Test one: May 4th - 367.9
Test two: June 29th - 279.5
Test three: August 23rd - 149.3
Test four: September 8th - 128.7
of course the numbers should be alot lower....0.0 - 4.7 - but I'm getting there...
Again, all this is from the love, support, positive thoughts and prayer from all of YOU! Thank YOU!
Miracles do happen...maybe not as fast as I'd like them to...but they do happen!
All else is good. I have the Visiting Homemakers coming in when I go for my cocktails. They will stay with Fay until I get home. Today was a very easy day for the young lady, Charlene. I got up early and asked my Mom if she wanted me to help her shower before she ate breakfast...she had a choice - do it now, or wait for the woman....she chose me to help her...can't blame her either...so, Charlene didn't have to do much today. Paul was home, didn't feel too well, but went to the gym got home a few minutes after Sam got home, about 2 pm...Sam wasn't feeling well either but dragged herself to work tonight...anyway Charlene left a little after 2 pm. Seems like a very nice person. Next time she comes, I'm sure she will help my Mom with her shower as I will have to leave at 10 am rather than 10:30 (today). Charlene also gave my Mom lunch (which I had prepared already)...all she had to do is warm up her soup in the microwave and put her sandwich on a plate with some potato salad. Must be the Italian in me...I still have to do it myself!!!! even not being here....Guess that's what keeps me going!
All else is good....still numbness/tingling in my hands/fingers and feet...sometimes it feels better...sometimes not....
