Looks like spring outside...if you look at the sky and not the ground! Still feels like winter...cold!
Went for cocktail #30 yesterday. They did have 'some' Leucovorin...not the dosage that I usually get but some is better than none. Seems that the entire country is out of this drug...can't understand because so many cancer patients are treated with this....what is this world coming to?!
The prednisone is working. My eyelids aren't puffy anymore but it may happen again. Dr. May thinks that it maybe from the Panatumob (spelling? word?) that's the clinical study drug. If the puffiness happens again she will lower the dose. They give it to you by your weight...and I have gained weight!!! It's all those desserts and cup cakes that Samantha is making!!! I have absolutely NO will power!!!!
Samantha goes to classes all day Tuesday's and has one night class - Wednesday she has a photo night class and Thursday she has two classes then she comes home....Yesterday when we picked up the mail....she GOT ACCEPTED AT UNIVERSITY OF SOUTH CAROLINA!!! She is in all her glory!!! I called her to see if she wanted me to open the very large envelope that had their mascot - gamecock - with YES! in bold letters....took me a while to open it and read her the letter...this telephone is hard to cradle on my shoulder and be able to talk. Anyway, she can't wait!!! I miss her already! Just knowing she'll be away - all the time....and not really knowing when we'd be down there....She'll be graduating with an associates degree here at County College of Morris in May.
