I was at the center the longest time ever yesterday! They were just taking their time!!! My scheduled appointment was for 10:45 (which is later than usual) and by the time they began giving me my 'cocktail' it was almost 1 pm!!!
I did NOT get the Panatomub (clinical study drug) due to the rash and break out on my ENTIRE face! Looks like I have roseacea!!! I think all -ALL - the nurses came in just to see my face!!! Being on this clinical study drug there is protocal that has to be followed. According to this I can miss two treatments...and this is what we will most likely do and then the third visit they will reduce the dosage a little....
My magnesium and potassium numbers were down - I got that in the infusion which took two hours - which made up for the extra time I was there.
Charlie and I were exhausted when we got home...just sitting there is sooo boring! I can get up to go to the bathroom - but the 'box' then runs on battery - so it's easier just to sit and have it plugged in. Charlie reads his book, I play my solitaire and gameboy while watching my ABC programs. People come and go in the room too. Paul surprised us with a visit too. It was funny, while I was talking to Charlie I was able to see a 'blue' car drive by - there is a window in our room too...and I thought of Paul...but figured there is no way he'd be there...about 10 minutes later - he walks in....how funny that was! He stayed for about an hour.
Charlie had to go get a new tower for his computer...it died! So, he went with Nicholas after we got home and then Nick did our taxes too. They had pizza for dinner.
Nicholas has a bad cold and is suppose to drive down to Georgia with a few of his friends to be in this marathon....WE told him if he isn't feeling well - not to go...but Nick is a man now and he will have to be the one to make that final decision!
