Monday, April 4th - #31 - day 26 - CT SCAN results

there are two questions that I will ask Dr. May...one is the definition of the word: anastomosis....(this is at the end of the report).... CT Scan results: Technique: CT scan of the chest was performed with 5mm axial images after intravenous administration of 100 cc of Ultravist. Comparison: February 4, 2011 The mediastinal and hilar regions are without mass or adenopathy. The heart size is normal. The great vessels are unremarkable. Lung windows demonstrate no infiltrates or areas of atelectasis. There are no pulmonary nodules. There is no pleural fluid. The chest wall is grossly normal. A Port-A-Cath is present. Impression: 1. Normal CT scan of the chest CT scan abdomen with contrast: Technique: CT scan of the abdomen was performed with 5 mm axial images after intravenous administration of 100 cc of Ultravist. Posteriorly in the right lobe of the liver is an enhancing mass measuring approximately

  • 7 x 7 mm

Allowing for technical differences, there is no change since February 4, 2011. Inferiorly in the right lobe of the liver is a mass with areas of calcification, enhancement, and low attenuation.

The area of low attenuation measured on the previous study is without change measuring

  • 6 x 5 mm

Inferiorly there is an area of enhancement measuring approximately 10 x 14 mm. This is unchanged to slightly decreased in size in comparison to the previous study.

  • No additional masses are present.

The overall liver density is ess than the spleen consistent with fatty infiltration. The adrenal glands, pancreas, and gallbladder are normal. The kidneys demonstrate symmetric nephrograms. There is no hydronephrosis. There is a cyst in the left kidney measuring 2.4 cm in diameter. There are few small lowdensity bilaterally which are unchanged.

There is no abdominal adenopaty or ascites. The visualized bowel is normal. A small hiatal hernia is present.

Impression:

1. Hepatic lesions without significant change since February 4, 2011. These are significantly decreased in size when compared to the January 2010 exam.

2. Fatty liver.

CT scan pelvis with contrast:

Technique: CT scan of the pelvis was performed with 5 mm axial images after intravenous administration of 100 cc of Ultravist.

The bowel has an unremarkable CT appearance. There is evidence of a large bowel anastomosis in the sigmoid colon. The appendix is identified. There are no distended loops of large or small bowel. There is no pelvic adenopathy or ascites. The uterus and adnexal regions are normal.

Impression:

1. Postoperative changes. Otherwise unremarkable CT scan of the pelvis.
