I've been meaning to write something here but ended up doing other things...I can't say that I didn't have anything to write...if you know me...I can go on and on about anything! Except - when I'm actually sitting with you...then I can't think of anything to say.....Must be a Dr. Froid thing or something!!!
I finally called to make an appointment with my oncologist, Dr. May. I go on Thursday, Sept. 15th. This is a follow up visit...and I will then find out what 'she' recommends I do....the anticipation is wreaking havoc!!! One of my neighbors that had colon cancer did 12 treatments and this was just preventative!!! I'm thinking that this maybe what Dr. May suggests....I don't know if I want to do that...but I have to wait and remember not to panic....the surgeon only said 'a few'....twelve seems like a larger word than 'few'....
I'm such a worry wort!!! I'm worried about getting CT scans too. If I had a 'mild' allergic reaction last time (April) what is the next scan going to do. I also had to take a total of 15 prenasone pills and one benedryl besides drinking the contrast and still broke out...then had to go back to the office and have benedryl via IV for about an hour. I don't know if I can just have a PET scan or not...if the insurance will cover that. CT is faster - about 10 minutes compared to the PET scan about 45 minutes - but at least that one is the safest.
Well, I'm counting my eggs before the chicken has hatched them. I can only put my worries in God's Hands.
Charlie is off this weekend and doing 'his' yard work. He's splitting wood right now then he has to cut the grass - as long as we don't get the shower that the weather forecasters are predicting. He enjoys being outside. The dogs love it until Charlie uses 'noisy' equipment...which he is doing now and the dogs are inside.
Paul is in the city and I'm sure Nicholas is still sleeping at his own home and Sam, not sure what she is doing but I can only imagine that she is either at the gym or going there. She asked me to ship her LaCross equipment down there but she needed it for Monday...Told her that the post office in town is under water and I don't have a box large enough and I'm sure just the weight of this would be very expensive. Then she told me that it maybe for the best...not only would it cost to 'send' it down but she'd also have to pay $70 to play on the team and it's a traveling team. She didn't know if she'd have to pay to go when they traveled and she may not even get 'play' time. Smart kid I have...so she said that she'd forgo this and just hang out...with?????
So many shows about 911...I need tissues everytime I watch. Beautiful memorial they have in the city. My heart goes out to all the families that have lost a loved one.
