Went for my Avastin today...1 hour...but then I found out that my potassium is very low...so I needed an infusion of that which took an extra hour. I have to take one pill per day until my next office visit in two weeks.
Tomorrow I go back for my Neupagin shot.
Last week, during our power outage...I was loading the wood stove with what I think/thought was fairly heavy wood logs that Charlie had cut....I noticed, right after I sneezed, that my liver began to hurt...I know it was my liver because of where the scar is....I kind of went into a small state of panic. It didn't really hurt - on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being the worst...I was a number 1....BUT with this Avastin you tend to bleed...so my thought was that I might have injured my liver....but I had no other symptoms and prayed that everything was okay.
I had blood drawn to see how well my liver was functioning and it's doing great! No problem!!! So, I may have just 'sprained' that area...stomach and liver.
Also one of the 'new' symptoms that I noticed was the palm of my hands get very hot - not sweaty...just hot...so far that only lasted two days.
I'm feeling good today....after my appointment I was going to stop for Burger King...but the line was too long...I ended up picking up my script for the potassium and then stopped for a slice of pizza.
Now I will sit and watch my soap opera on the west coast feed (that I originally missed at 2 pm). I have chicken in my crock pot so dinner will be ready without any extra help.
