Went for my blood work today...they pricked my finger...that hurts more than them taking it from my arm! My finger still hurts! What a baby I am!!! It really doesn't hurt - that much....All my counts are great! I was surprised that my hemoglobin (anemia) number went up....don't know how or why...but whatever the reason...it's good!
Charlie and I went to Sparta, I drove and then on the way home we stopped for a bagel...we ate in the car...got home by 12:30...not too bad considering my appointment was at 11 am. Paul stayed with Fay and made her lunch...Broccoli Rabe soup and eggplant Parmesan (heated both up)...I made the soup yesterday and Charlie made the eggplant.
Next appointment is on Monday the 25th...more blood work...this is for the clinical study...then chemo on Wednesday the 27th.
Feeling good...weight is good...a little loss of appetite but I think it's because I don't have anymore Christmas candy or cookies around...who wants to eat healthy food?! Just doesn't seem like its enjoyable to eat! One thing I do find...seems that foods are a bit spicy...at least the ones that Charlie prepares. The eggplant was a bit spicy...Fay didn't think so (but her taste buds are a bit 'old' and she doesn't notice things like that). I asked Paul to try it to see and he thought it was 'a little' spicy. Charlie made steak for dinner tonight and the pepper that he put on it made my tongue tingle a bit...all other foods are fine...it HAS to be Charlie's cooking! Not that I'm complaining but..........
