here is a picture of my port...hopefully it doesn't gross you out...I will take a photo of the port with the pump....Read in one of the cancer books....'cocktails'...the solution used for treatments...and to always remember...cancer is NOT a death sentence...just think of it as a 'detour'.....sounds good to me!
Went for my second chemo cocktail....just came home about an hour ago. Feeling fine. The doctor and nurse said that this is the way I will most likely feel during my treatments....but the only thing that may get worse is the 'acne' on my face - but there is medication for that. And usually after the 4th or 5th cocktail...I may most likely find a tingling in my fingertips.
Charlie was with me the entire 5 hours..it took 4 hours from beginning to end....the other hour was for waiting then talking...and talking more.
Right now my voice is a bit raspy....I have to clear my throat when talking and I get that 'sensation' in my throat glands when I eat something...so far I had a brownie and some cheese-it crackers.... Don't want to eat too much being that dinner will be ready shortly. Paul is making flank steak for dinner...and he's going OUT to dinner with Bre! Lucky him...he knows what he wants to order already too! And it's not beef!
