Didn't get a call from the cancer center regarding my blood work so it's a go for cocktail #5 tomorrow - Wednesday the 10th.
Feeling great...now I will begin to get my symptoms back...this last treatment symptoms went really well. I didn't have the 'bad' tongue or mouth sores...got the mouth sores but never did get the tongue sores. Tingling fingers are a given...I still have that today but not as much as days before. I made lentil soup and added carrots....the carrots were cold while I was cleaning them! The only other symptom I have but never really said anything is my skin being so dry. I put lots of lotion on but I still have these fairly large dry spots on my upper body - a symptom, another one I can live with...no pain.
Beautiful day today! Ran out to the post office....Charlie said I could use his car...but I said 'no'...I really enjoy driving my red convertable! even if I have to keep the top up!
Paul did a small acting job the other day...background....he will be in a new HBO series: Boardwalk Empire - beginning in September. He is in episode 8...it takes place in 1920...he had to have his hair cut really short. I cut it but left the sides too long - they shaved the sides really close and he has no sideburns! He hates it! But luckily hair does grow back! They put a mustache on him too and combed his hair to the side - well, Paul said they tried to get it to the side but it was so stubborn that they used a ton of gel...Paul said if he would have fallen on his head - he never would have felt it...his hair was hard as a helmet!!! He sent me a photo via cell phone and he looked like my Dad...when he was in his 20's! So funny and weird!
Paul said that they actually built this boardwalk in NYC to look like the boardwalk in Atlantic City in the 20's. This series is contracted to run two years. Hopefully he'll get another part or two.
