Just got back from having my cocktail! Did I tell you it is now 1/2 hour shorter than before? The clinical study cocktail and it runs faster through my port than the first time....
My fingers are having a difficult time typing...I put on the compression stockings and my legs feel a bit better. I may even sleep with them on tonight...but I do get filled with fluid - I think that is why the first day - my legs feel heavy.
My blood work came back...a lot of numbers were lower this time but not bad...just my potassium level is just down a point...suggested I eat a banana a day...potatoes, blue berries, strawberries, green leafy veggies...and all this week we really didn't have any veggies....didn't go with the meal other than corn!
Just took a bite of a 'piece of fudge' and my 'sensation' is back! Not as bad as it has been...but it's there. My finger cuts look a lot better and the doctor just said to keep hand cream on them all the time and to wear 'gloves' when I wash the dishes...I hate to wear gloves! She also said that the Aquaphor should work well for my cuts...but it is a bit greasy...I may just do that before I go to bed...she also said that the patients that receive radiation use that product and they are very happy with it...so, if you know anyone on radiation - you can tell them that!
Samantha was here and cooked dinner for us and Nick and his room mates...she left a few minutes ago to go back...she has early classes tomorrow (Thursday). Paul just left for work...he's working for the 'inflatable' company - they have an open house tomorrow and Friday - so they are cleaning up the warehouse where they will hold this event.
Charlie sat outside while I had my cocktail and he is now walking the dogs...he loves to be outside!
