I'd love to say it was a good day but....I had my pump flushed and removed and then I came straight home. I had to call the oral surgeon because one of the blood work numbers were way up. The oncologist took blood to check the number again...but I figured it might be from the infection in my gum even though I have a tiny pimple that drains the infection.
Anyway, the oral surgeon said that he'd like to do the surgery where you cut the tip of the tooth off but after talking to my oncologist he said 'pull the teeth'! The original surgery would take 6 to 8 weeks to heal and still being on chemo, isn't good. So, now I have to make an appointment with the regular dentist for him to make a 'flapper'...he takes an impression and I'll have a bridge (guess that is what it is really called)...once the flapper is made then I can schedule the pulling of the teeth...the one front tooth and the one next to it. He would like to do this surgery on 'my week off', towards the end of that week....so, on Monday I call the dentist to make an appointment and onward I go...
This is so typical of me....I wait for the last minute to call a doctor/dentist or whatever and nothing ever comes easy. 60 isn't a good number!
I just have to remember to stay positive! Please keep me in your prayers and I thank you for all your positive feed backs.
My white cells are so low that I have a low grade temperature...I will call the oncologist tomorrow to see if just taking Tylenol is okay. I was extremely tired when I finally came home and slept alot on the recliner...Charlie made dinner and cleaned up too. Now, I hope I can sleep tonight! After cat napping from 8 till now (11 pm).
