Thursday, July 8th - #13 - day 8

I don't understand and never will...went to the oral surgeon today and they asked me to be there by 12:15....well, I arrived five minutes early and I had to wait....I waited until almost 1 pm!!! Then they took my blood pressure...high??? of course!!! Waiting for something that I didn't want...the bottom number was 160...but when she took it again it was down to 86....they had the cuff on wrong....bet my number would have been a little lower if they didn't tell me that first reading number!

Not really sure what time he actually started but I was done by 1:15 and left his office about 1:35 pm...home at 2:08!

Anyway, the Novocain is wearing off and I'm not in all that much pain, actually it just hurts a little - not enough to take the vicadin pain med - at least for now. He did give me an antibiotic because the infection was so BIG! He said there was also a cyst...don't know what that means but I'm sure I will find out in two weeks when I go for a re-check.

So, now I have this flipper in and it actually looks better than my real teeth looked! My one front tooth protruded a little and the 'new' one is flat with the other one. Of course the flipper doesn't fit correctly...my bite is okay on the right side but the left side (where the new teeth are) is a little lower and it's going to be interesting when I go to chew on food. I'm suppose to eat soft foods for the next two days - I do have an appt. with the regular dentist on Tuesday for him to check it. I can also leave the flipper in tonight but the surgeon suggests that I remove it at night and after each meal....just rinsing it off. He also said right now it maybe a little difficult to take in and out but in a week or two it should be easy enough to remove with my tongue...hmmm.

Well, that's my story for today...thank you again for your prayers and support!!!
