Christmas Day - December 25th

Merry Christmas to all!

I had a great morning....up and showered and done by 10....got the kids up and then we opened presents about 10:30....took lots of pictures. Nicholas slept over last night so he wouldn't have to drive too early this morning. He couldn't get himself to sleep in my Mom's room...so he slept on the couch in the big room.

I had made lasagna for Thanksgiving and put aside a pan....which worked out great! I also made 2 cornish hens. Charlie bought this 'beautiful' prime rib and made potatoes au grautin....we also had broccoli and shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. We ate a little later than expected.

Nick had his IPad with one of the games - which I couldn't get right away - now I have visions of this game in my head!

When we finally sat down to dinner - about 5 ish...all of a sudden.....I got 'my symptom'....just pain! I ate a few bites of the prime rib and about 5 shrimp....I couldn't get anything else down. How sad...everything looked so delicious. I feel so badly when my family sees me this way. There is nothing they can do. Bathroomitis set in about 1/2 hour later. I was able to eat two very small pieces of my homebaked apple pie and a sliver of yellow cake with chocolate frosting (in the middle) I had crushed Heath bars....it was goooood!

Charlie was sweet enough to do all the dishes. The kids helped but I don't think it was enough for Charlie.

Sat and watched football...which I am not a fan of...but nothing else was on.

Tomorrow - maybe I'll be able to eat the left overs...if not...I will put some aside and freeze them until later on this week - when I'm feeling like my 'old self!

All in all....it was a very nice day having the kids here....We usually host a Christmas Dinner with the Marra family a week before Christmas...but with this chemo and the house not being decorated yet, and Charlie working (all hours)...we didn't have company...and Santa would have made a visit too...oh well, there is always next year!!!

Happy New Year to All! and to all a good night!
