Charlie was up here in the office while I was trying to write on my blog this morning. He was showing me houses that Cathy had forwarded from S.C. that he will be looking at when he goes down there. All the houses are beautiful! Hopefully one of them will still be on the market AFTER we sell our house here.....anyway....
Last Monday - the 2nd, was my LAST chemo...then Tuesday was a regular day which I felt really good. I was still getting a cocktail via my pump -- that weights at least 2 pounds!!! I am so happy I don't have to carry that with me!!!! Wednesday I had gone to have this pump disconnected and also had blood work drawn....a complete work up. I haven't called to get a copy and they haven't called me, so I'm sure all is well. I will pick up a copy when I go in on this coming Thursday for my PET scan.
Thursday I felt the beginnings of my symptoms....Friday was the same as well as Saturday. Sunday has been the worst - so far. Today (Monday afternoon)...I'm just getting some spasms...but 'nothing' yet...I'm sure once I eat something....1/2 hour later....watch out!!!
All in all....other than feeling like I want to die on those 6 days...I am able to get out of bed, shower, eat breakfast - then....do some laundry....then, sometimes, I feel like cooking....its usually one or two days that I don't make dinner...which has worked out okay due to Charlie working late hours...and he's capable of making something on his own. One night I did heat up a TV dinner and put it in a plate...he didn't even realize it!!!! Guess using our plate works!!!! On those days I usually don't have much energy...so I sit and watch TV....e-gad....One Life To Live is going off the air this week....and no other soaps are on....now what do I do???? what do I watch??? These reality shows are terrible! Oh well, guess I'll find something or I'll be renting a lot of movies.
I had some bananas that I bought on Tuesday while Sam was home that are left over....neither Paul or Sam were home as much as they thought...so I ended up making some banana pudding. I went to my pantry to get some Vanilla Wafers....and when I opened the new bag - UCK...what a smell...I tasted one...oh my gosh....how terrible!!!!! Thank goodness I didn't use them. When I checked the date on the box....it was November 07!!!!! And I thought I had just bought a fresh box....which I did...I went through my cupboards again and found the correct one! UCK....I can still taste that disgusting taste! Talk about wanting to throw up!!!! But the old box is in the garbage and the new one is used!
Sam called a few minutes ago saying that there is one new class that she has to purchase a chef uniform along with a name tag....hmmm....now that goes right onto my charge card! Like she'll ever use this again.....oh well...hopefully she'll get some good cooking/baking tips out of this class. Hopefully she doesn't have to purchase a set of knives....which in the back of my mind, I'm thinking they will ask for! A little at a time!!!!
