Maria's daughter, Margaux had her baby today by c-section. Baby Leo arrived at 8:08 am weight: 9 lbs. 5 oz. and 22 inches long...Mommy and baby are doing fine. Maria had called about 9:30 this morning on her way to the hospital to visit. Congratulations to the proud grandparents: Maria and Brian!! So young to be called Grandma and Grandpa!
Went for my blood work today...I can't believe this...we waited over 1 1/2 hours! I didn't realize it because we were talking to one of my neighbors that is being treated for colon cancer too! She was telling me some of the side effects she has had. She is doing chemo for preventative measures and she started in August. She missed a few being on vacation and cell levels being too low.
My iron is up and looking back at the other blood work paperwork in December...all my numbers look good!
Instead of going for my 'cocktail' on Wednesday...I am now scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday) at 9:15 am....ugh! That's really early for me! I have to leave here by 8:45! The nurse told me to let the receptionist know when I arrive so I don't have to wait. Guess this impending snow storm is getting people in either before their actual scheduled appointment or because they canceled thinking of the predicted forecast.....
Either way -now I will be a day early for the cocktail and pump removal will now be on Thursday instead of Friday.
Charlie won't be able to go with me tomorrow as his brother Christopher will be here. They will put paneling up - in the living room where there is now wallpaper. Charlie gave me a choice...tear down the wallpaper that is there and put up new paper OR clean up the wall so it can be painted. I came up with the idea of using the wainscot paneling...Charlie thought it was a great idea...the cost is about the same...He bought the paneling in our local building supply store and stained it. I'm sure it will look really nice and a great selling point too. If the 'new' owners have young children...the clean up -finger prints - will clean easy! unless they get a splinter!!!
Today I feel really good...no symptoms. Just a little on my lips - they feel like chapped lips but that is bearable. No sensation in my mouth and fingers....tomorrow I'm sure they will begin - at least the sensation in my mouth and then by Friday - they will all be back...just hoping nothing 'new' will pop up!
