Monday, October 18th - #20 - day 12

A bit frustrated by the results of my 5th CT scan....no change - nothing. Dr. May, my oncologist is happy with this report....

I guess it's the old adage...no news is good news?

I will get the scan paperwork on Wednesday when I go for chemo #21 and I will add it here...to my blog.

On a lighter note...while I was getting my bloodwork done this morning, Charlie called me on my cell phone wondering when I'd be home...I was waiting to get my scan results until he told me that he had to go to the doctor....This weekend he was cutting down a few trees - one of which had fallen from the windstorm...well, he got poison ivy!!! All over!!!! He took Benedryl on Sunday and when he woke up this morning his eyes were shut closed! He went to wash his face and when he looked into the mirror he saw his eyes still closed...knowing they were open!!!! So, he drove himself (as it would have taken me 1/2 hour to get home and his appointment was in 15 minutes) and got a shot in the butt! He looks alot better tonight but his eyes are still a little puffy!

now this one is funny....Charlie went fishing yesterday and came home when it was dark (about 7 pm)...he was knocking on the window in the big room and I thought he wanted the dogs out or whatever...it was too dark to see what he wanted...then all of a sudden he was knocking on the window, again, and yelling - get the dogs in...there is a bear out here! He walked to the back of the house because he saw the garbage pail was open...well, within 5 feet - was the approx. 500 lb. bear!!!! Said he soiled his pants!!! The bear ended up walking away...the dogs never saw the bear. Later on Charlie walked out again to do whatever and the garbage pail was turned over...he puts a bungee cord on the pail to keep it closed (which it was off when he first saw the bear)...so the bear was back! but never got to the garbage! Charlie said when he saw the bear it walked over to one of the trees and stood up and started scratching the tree (as if he was going to climb it). Someone said that the bear was just 'marking' it. Nobody wanted to walk out of the house that night!!!!
