Had my MRI on Friday. Went down to Morristown/Parsippany and Paul took me. He was down there a while back so he knew where to go.
MRI's...they are kind of great....but you have to hold your arms over your head - which made my 'wings' ache, and you had to take deep breaths and hold them - some for 36 seconds and some about 20 seconds (nothing to do - so I counted). They give you head phones because the machine is so loud and they tell you when to take the deep breath and 'hold it'...they also had some classical music in the background. You have to lie still for about 35 minutes - which seems like an eternity when you have that pain in your shoulder area!! I don't know how very heavy people can be in that contraption! Just having my arms over my head - was close!
They gave me a copy of the MRI...and of course I put it on my computer...but it kind of scared me....not knowing what I was actually looking at...but these pictures are amazing! They show everything!!!
I should find out from the surgeon (my insurance will now cover him) during the week. Not sure if I have to 'visit' or we can discuss this on the phone. My clinical nurse feels surgery would be scheduled - soon....Guess with cancer lesions they don't want them to grown or more to develop by waiting too long.
Charlie is working today...at Lowe's....he's enjoying it, kind of. Seeing this beautiful day and knowing that he can't be outside working on our property is a killer! He already has his day planned for tomorrow - he's going to cut the grass at the sports complex -- hopefully it doesn't begin to rain while he's there. It takes him almost all day to cut all that grass.
I am so sorry for any scare you had receiving the email stating that I was in London - got mugged at gun point and everything was stolen....I'm glad you all know that I am a home body and I stay in my 10 mile radius comfort zone! For me to go on vacation is a tremendous venture!!! so, it's so much easier just to stay at home!!! My next vacation will be in the hospital recovering from surgery! Not looking forward to that one either! I have no pain now...but I'm sure I will then!!!
