looking forwarding to going into the city on Tuesday the 23rd....I will go for my follow up visit with Dr. Allen and - finally - have the staples removed....all 45 of them!!! I have time on my hands...counting staples....
I'm sleeping a little better - still in an upright position but not a sitting position. I can't wait to be able to sleep laying down and on my side! Amazing how you tend to take a sleeping position for granted.
I can't believe these thunder storms we've been having! Yesterday, my friend Patty, was here and all of sudden the smoke detectors all started going off!!!! Thank goodness Paul was home and was able to disconnect them. These were electric with battery back up. Haven't a clue as to why they all went off at the same time! Needless to say - both dogs were 'hiding' downstairs in the basement! The power went out about 5 times but went right back on. Being in the country - when the power goes out...you literally have nothing! Can't flush the toilets!!! or wash your hands....When city folks complain about loosing power - heck, they still have the 'comforts' of home!
I asked Paul if we could drive into the city on Tuesday rather than taking the train. I'd actually rather take the train but there are a lot of steps and one of the escalators that you take - people that are riding up or down - when you look at them - they are standing at an angle...going up = they are leaning forward. Coming down = they are leaning back. Paul didn't notice that until I mentioned it to him. So, we will pay the extra money to find a parking lot....one of my 'older' customers (who is really considered a friend because I know him as long as I've had my salon business) gave me a web site for coupons/discounts on parking in the city! Amazing - just the click of the finger on your mouse and you can save $30!!!
