I start off in a sitting position (for night time sleep) and find myself - in two hours - that I have slid down to almost a lying flat position....don't know how that happens.
So, I am definitely more comfortable in more of an upright position...but I also found that I can sleep - just about - flat!
That little pain that I have under my rib cage is almost gone. The nurses always ask - on a pain level of 10 - 0 with 10 being the worst....my pain level right now is about a 1.
One of my friends stopped over yesterday and she was so kind and brought lunch and a lovely bouquet of flowers. I am truly blessed to have such beautiful and caring people in my life! It was a great visit and not too long either. I still need to rest...weird feeling....I am resting while being entertained but it must be that I move to the couch rather than sit in the same chair for a long period of time.
It's 10:30 am and it's the calm before the storm. A little cloudy. Paul will be home later today. I haven't a clue as to what Nicholas will be doing and Samantha being in S.C. only said she had 'wind' yesterday - no rain...and the wind was a nice 'tropical' breeze. I spoke with her via skype and this was the first time she didn't have a sweatshirt on! She said the air conditioner is set at 56 degrees. She opened her window! to be a little warmer!!! Her RA showed her how to open it...guess it was stuck with 'fresh paint' when Sam tried. Charlie is working and I'm sure people are buying their generators - and even if they use them tonight/tomorrow --- I'm sure they will return them on Monday!
Let's pray that Irene doesn't hang out here too long and moves in a more eastern direction.
