Tuesday, June 29th - #12 - day 13

Here is the written report of my CT scan...I have not received the results of today's ultrasound.
Wednesday (tomorrow) I go for chemo #13. I will NOT be getting the oxiplatin due to the numbness in my hands and feet. My cocktail time will still remain the same...4 hours. As soon as I receive the report regarding my ultrasound I will let you all know.

CT of the chest with contrast:
Clinical history: Colorectal carcinoma. Comparison with previous exam dated 4/28/2010 is made.

Technique: Multidetector imaging was obtained to the chest with 100 cc of contrast. Coronal and sagittal reconstructions were performed.

Findings: The lungs are without nodules, effusions, infliltrates or consolidation.

The trachea, mainstem bronchi and segments are unremarkable. No suspicious hilar, mediastinal or axillary lymphadenopathy is present.

The thyroid, aorta, heart, pericardium and great vessels are unremarkable. The pulmonary arteries are unremarkable.

Impression: Normal study.

CT of the abdomen wit contrast:
Clinical history: Colorectal carcinoma. Comparison with prior study 4/28/2010 is made.

Technique: Multidetector imaging is obtained to the abdomen with oral contrast and 100 cc of IV contrast. Coronal and sagittal reconstructions were performed.

findings: Regarding the small lesion in the right lobe posterior segment previously measuring 8x9 mm, this today is identified measuring 13x9mm. This today however demonstrates questionable peripheral puddling suggesting a possible hemangioma and correlation with an ultrasound is recommended. The apparent change in size may be technical and may reflect a different phase of arterial enhancement and peripheral puddling in the llesion from the comparison study.

Regarding the 5x7mm lesion in the left hepatic lobe, today this is measuring 4x3mm.

Regarding the lesion in the right lobe posterior segment previously measuring 8x9 mm behind the IVC, this today measures 4x3 mm.

Regarding the lesion in the right lobe posterior segment previously measuring 13x7 mm, today this measures 5x10 mm. There is calcification associated with the lesion. This again is unchanged.

Previously, left hepatic dome lesion was identified measuring 7x9 mm. This is not visualized today.

The spleen, pancreas and adrenals are unremarkable. The patient is status post cholecystectomy. Simple bilateral renal cysts are identified. A 16 x 17 mm left upper pole cyst is identitifed.

There is no bowel obstruction. No ascites or adenopathy is seen in the abdomen. The aorta, IVC and iliac vessels, mesenteric vessels, portal splenic confluence, renal arteries and veins are unremarkable.

A normal apendix is visualized.

Impression:
1. Regarding the 13 x 9 mm right posterior segments hepatic mass, today, questionble peripheral pudding is identified. The findings may represent a hemangioma and may explain the change in size which reflect imaging in a different phase of arterial enhancement from the prior study. Correlation with a targeted ultrasound is recommended.
2, Additional hepatic lesions as discussed above.
3. Post cholecystectomy.
4. Simple left renal cyst.

CT of the pelvis with contrast:
Technique: Multidetector imaging is obtained the pelvis with 100 cc IV contrast.

Findings: The bladder, uterus and adnexa are unremarkable. There is no evidence of free fluid, adenopathy or masses.

The bones are unremarkable.

Impression: Normal study.
