Another day...another dollar.....went for cocktail #13 today. Dr. May eliminated the oxaliplatin from all my cocktails....it is the strongest med and should eliminate the numbness in my fingers and feet. It should also keep my white blood count UP. I didn't ask about the mouth sores or the finger cuts...oh well, guess I will soon find out. Although she did say that the numbness may continue for the next few weeks and then I should notice a difference. I should also feel much better....found that one interesting being that I really do feel fine - a bit tired so more energy would be great and eliminating the other symptoms would be fantastic! But, how lucky can a person get. Just get rid of all these lesions and I'd be a happy camper! I DO believe in miracles...even if they take a while to achieve!
I haven't gotten the results of the ultrasound yet. The regular radiologist that has read my CT scans from the beginning is on vacation this week...so another person will review this again...they seem to measure lesions differently...from a different point....I didn't realize that they are different shapes - oval, or oblong, or just irregularly shaped.
My white blood count is down, again...it was 11 last week, after the neupagin shots and today it is down to 3!!! I go for another shot on Saturday and then one more on Tuesday...Wed..I will get the count to see if I can go to the oral surgeon...Dr. May feels it will be okay.
