Monday, December 19th - cocktail #5 - 1st of 2 and last of cycle 3!

In my last blog I said that my eyes don't look right...well, I think it was my eyebrows! They too have thinned out a bit - but they are still there - a bit lighter. I used eyebrow pencil to darken them and I think it worked! My hair is still there....I really have to work hard to make it look like I'm not loosing it. As long as you don't 'stare' at it - you don't notice.

Last night....I tried on my 'wig'....YIKES! I look terrible!!! I just pray that I don't have to use it...it's sooooo much hair!!!! I am so NOT use to seeing all this hair!

I had to share my infusion room today. The woman has breast cancer and she was so nice. We talked and laughed all morning. I began treatment at 10:45 - she was there earlier and was still there when I left. Her treatment is 6 hours but she goes every third week. I was there for 3 hours. They come around with sandwiches and snack foods and I've been taking two (tiny) sandwiches but I've been putting them in a zip lock bag and bringing them home to eat. Well, I couldn't do that this time - I would have felt weird taking the sandwiches and putting them away. This girl had her sister as support person and she ate two sandwiches - twice! Oh well, this is a hang up that I have - free food and I don't take advantage of it.

Still trying to get all my decorations up....Charlie brought down (what I think is all of them) the rest (what he thinks is all)....I don't really have the energy to go through them now to see....guess I'll be busy the rest of the week and I still go back on Wednesday to have the pump disconnected and then back on Thursday to have my Neulasta shot. And as in the past - then Fri., Sat. (Christmas Eve), Sunday (Christmas Day), Monday and Tuesday I'm sure I'll feel the worst....

I felt so good on Friday, Sat., and yesterday (Sunday)....which will bring us to NYE - a good thing!

Dr. May said she and her family (3 young children) are driving down to Florida for two weeks. She'll be off the same week as me.

Nick came home from China on Sat. evening and came for his weekly visit on Sunday. He was exhausted! Having a difficult time getting use to the time change. He loved the food there and said he enjoyed himself. His hotel room was one of the best BUT they had their own 'gas mask'...I asked if that replaced the Bible in the night stand....he said he didn't think to look for the Bible. Said the air was very polluted. The drive from the airport to his hotel was 2 hours by car...on the weekend they went back to Shanghai - on the train and it took 20 minutes! He took 'some' pictures...not as many as I would have liked him to take but at least he did take some nice shots! The river water was 'green'!!! The night lights of the city and out his hotel room looked beautiful! He brought home a newspaper - written in English...and he brought home chop sticks! He brought me a beautiful silk scarf. Said a lot of things were really expensive - so he didn't get as much as I thought he would have. For a kid that doesn't like to shop - he did fine!
